Jill just won't learn will she.. Don't leave food where I can reach it!! It is as simple as that..

Jill gave us both one of those Denta Stix before she went over the road to have a coffee with Anne and a catch up, but before she went she had to open another packet of those yummy sticks, now there are only 7 in the packet for around $4.00 mark, so they are only "treats" for when she leaves us at home! She left us inside so we would not get up to any mischief...... huh that is an understatement. It was raining outside and you know what we would do, well Millie would be running around the yard in the rain barking all the time and I would be out there too following her and wondering what she is barking at! Jill did remember to shut the bedroom and bathroom doors so we could not jump on the bed or chew on the good towels she had in the bathroom.

So about 2 hours later when she got home, we greeted her with so much enthusiasm. No...... no it was not me who piddled on the floor. Yep I know Missy coz Millie leaves a little trail behind her.......

O.K. what is that empty packet doing on the floor? I left that on the bench when I opened the new.... oh oh.. the new packet????? So now I have two empty packets?? well done Jill. She keeps forgetting I don't mind walking all over the floating floor, it does not bother me like it did Sassy! So there is no where I cannot go unless you shut the door.

Golly Gerard will not recognise me when he gets home, I will have put on so much weight with all these yummy treats Jill leaves lying around for me!

If you go to Jill's main blog, you can read what we have been up to also, she has just written up about us from last night and this morning!! Yep go have a look see.

Well better go and get some more zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's. The rain has gotten real heavy again.. How on earth are we going to go to the toilet with all this rain???? Bladder control is what it is all about..

Last Thursday I took Gerard to Bairnsdale to catch the bus to Sydney for his two week holiday in Queensland with Geoff. I would not get home til after 11pm so decided to let the dogs stay inside and left the glass door open to the verandah so they could get in and out if needed!

Well!! when I opened the front door I was greeted by two very excited dogs to see me! You should have seen the floor.. I reckon all they did while I was away was run in and outside all the time because of the footprints everywhere and being a light coloured floor it really showed up. I decided then that if that was all the mischief they got up together well I can cope with that!

BUT!!!!!!

On Monday night about 9pmish there was a bright flash and then this almighty rolling crash of thunder that rolled and rolled for some time. Not only did the dogs and Ashley jump but I did too. Ashley's claws caught my legs, ouch and Millie was going berserk. Missy did not know what she was supposed to do and Rusty was no where in sight! It was odd that she had not been around earlier as she usually acts strange before thunder is going to happen. She was hiding in our wardrobe!

Then the rain came down heavily and continued on all night. No more thunder so I put the dogs out when going to bed at about 1am.

2a.m. another clap of thunder!! Ignore it Jill, they will settle down.......... 2.30a.m. another clap and off went Millie again. So I gave in and let them in! You two stay on your mat! Stay.... Rusty still in wardrobe and Ashley follows me up to the bedroom and up on the bed. o.k. now that is unusual..

Still more rain and I am trying to get to sleep... well eventually I drifted off and woke up about 6.30a.m. Oh gosh I had better put the dogs out for a wee! I lift my head coz I cannot move I am pinned down on both sides of the bed, Ashley pressed up on one side and Millie on the other side! Wow thank goodness Missy did not decide to come in and get on the bed too! I lie back down and can hear heavy breathing. Is that Millie fallen asleep so quickly? Rusty in the wardrobe does not snore that loud! I get up only to find Missy had also come up in the night and was sleeping on the floor beside the bed on Gerard's side. Nothing like having the family all snug with you!

It rained a lot during the day again, thank goodness no thunder. That night the dogs must have thought they were in for a treat again, but much to their disgust I said no and put them out to the verandah, don't want to set a pattern here!

Had a good nights sleep, opened the curtains to the verandah only to find Gerard's mum's dictionary in pieces all on the verandah floor and trailing out the doggy door! OMG!!! that will teach Gerard not to leave stuff lying around. He almost lost his shanks and barley one time out there!

Asking who did it?? Up came that gorgeous little "snarl" look on Missy with the tail between the legs. Hmm well if that is all she does... that is not too bad... She was probably telling me I should not leave them out there at night!

Last night (Thursday) I went to Bairnsdale for my second class on Photoshop Elements and decided to leave the door to the verandah slightly open again coz if it rains and thunders and they are outside Millie will go mental. I left at 6pm and got home about 11pm after getting some shopping. I wondered what I would find this time??

Millie was yapping madly when I opened the door and they were once again so excited to see me. The floor????? Well it was worse this time, because the ground is so wet and so I had muddy feet inside this time. They had covered the whole area with footprints, so my lovely light coloured floor was light no longer! While walking over the floor with towels under my shoes to clean it up a little coz I could not bend, I shuffled over the footsteps leading to the laundry!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! In my rush to get away after feeding the dogs, I had left the large packet of mini dry dog food for Millie that I had only opened before hand on the bench. The bag on the floor with dry food all over the place. The bag was about a quarter full.

Missy and Millie must have had a ball.... Not a lot of the food left. Missie must have got full coz she is such a guts. That cute little snarl appeared again and she slinked out of the laundry back to the mat in the lounge room.

I did not bother to pick up the remaining bits as I did not want to bend and left it til this morning. I let them in during the day and took them to the verandah and told Missy she could have them, saves me bending down to the floor, and she put her ears down and walked away as if to say no thank you!! I am not getting into trouble again...

Later in the arvo I noticed she disappeared and was in the laundry, they have all gone!

Will download photos later.

Hey just look at my ears!

Double click on the photo for a bigger look at me, not that flattering look, but I am having so much fun.
Hi again Mum,

Milly and I are getting along so well, these pictures, Jill took yesterday when she took us for a walk to the hill again. We have had so much rain, it is so wet underfoot. These are Jill's favourite pics, she is going to add them to her webshots album too. Hope you like them!!

Hi Mum,

Jill has been pretty busy these days so I have not been able to post any of my news here. BUT... it is so cold today Jill has put the heater on in the lounge, let me in for a sleep on the floor, oh on a cosy rug and I am justso spoilt.

So it is about a month and a half since I moved here, golly it seems so much longer than that. I have really settled in so well and do feel very comfortable in my new home.

What a great surprise to see you, just loved the gift of the lamb shank too. It was just so yummy, sorry I did not pay too much attention to you after getting the shank, but you understand how it is when food is around! And to see Taylor and ............. oops Jill is having one of them old timers moments. I do miss seeing you all, you must come and visit again soon. It was fun to see them playing and going through my doggy door. It is amazing how the little ones love doggy doors!

As you know I do love the water. Well Jill took me for a long walk to the hill recently and then on the other side of the hill I looked down and what did I see but wonderful, cold wet water!!! The canal opening to the lake was just so inviting, but first I acted as if I was not interested coz I did not know if I was allowed to jump in! So I casually walked down to the "little" beach area first, not much water there, but I got my feet wet. Then as we walked on further, I made my way to the edge of the canal and then before Jill could say anything I stepped into the water, the rocks are a bit hard to walk on, then I was in... It was a bit cold so I was only in the water for a couple of seconds. Jill did not say anything, so I went in again a bit further along. I did not want to be too enthusiastic, but when we turned around and headed for the mouth of the lake, I once again could not resist going into the water another couple of times! I came home very wet but enjoyable..

Here are some more pics of me for you to look at.
